EngiWorks · CAD Designs
Three client designs from a summer internship.
EngiWorks is an engineering workshop in Caguas, Puerto Rico. My time there was split between reverse engineering production-line components for pharmaceutical clients and designing parts to client specifications. These are three of the client designs. I modeled each one in SolidWorks and reviewed revisions with the fabrication team.
Generator Air Filter
A housing built around how it gets serviced.

Problem
A plant generator needed a retrofit air filter whose media could be swapped often, by someone working from a forklift.
Solution
I modeled it in SolidWorks from on-site measurements, with hinged sheet metal frames that swing open, off-the-shelf hinges and latches, and weather-resistant, low-cost materials.
Outcome
Swing it open, swap the media, latch it shut.

Junction Box
Fewer bends, less welding, delivered on time.

Problem
A client needed a weather-tight junction box in non-standard dimensions, on an urgent timeline.
Solution
Using SolidWorks Sheet Metal, I partitioned the enclosure into fewer bend-formed pieces. More of the shape comes off the press brake and less from the welder, so weld length and fabrication time both dropped. I coordinated the bends with the press brake operator to match the shop’s tooling.
Outcome
Designed and fabricated on time, on the client’s schedule.

Storage Case
Spool and tool storage framed in aluminum extrusion.

Problem
A 3D printing client wanted storage for filament spools and tools, built from extrusion to match the look of their shop.
Solution
I designed the case in SolidWorks, framed it in extrusion and mounted the side panels flush for a clean aesthetic.
Outcome
Designs delivered quickly and approved by the client.
